Bouzouki:

Kimono!

Gigantou:

Kimono.

Hiromu Arakawa:

Vintage white china with a green-green hue.

Shigeru Mizuki:

Purple/violet/red… but the best color I was familiar with was orange.

Satoru Murata:

Glow pink with a purple hue.

Kiyohiko Hayashi:

A very popular colour in the 60s. There’s a lot of orange, but it took me a while, so I’m not sure if I’m going to make this one.

What is the most interesting piece produced during this era?

Bouzouki:

I-I have to go the old museum of Japan, but I’m pretty sure that the most interesting piece is this one from the 60s.

Gigantou:

It’s a very popular doll that was really good.

Hiromu Arakawa:

This item was a new style for a doll. It’s a very popular item, that I’m glad to see.

Satoru Murata:

It’s a piece that was made for the first time, and we were very pleased with that figure, and we wanted to show it to Japan, so that was one of the big things going on in our minds during this era.

Shigeru Mizuki:

The item that I am most nostalgic about is our first doll product, which was the figure of the “Mamatos.” I have to talk about that before it has been made so… you know that first time? (laughs)

Which of the 4 characters inspired you the most?

Bouzouki:

I think I am the type to be influenced by both things I know about and things I can’t understand. I am the type that is born and grows up listening to music and seeing movies (laughs). So from my type, I can’t imagine things that other types wouldn’t see or understand.

Gigantou:

Even so, I’d like to try and create something original.

Hiromu Arakawa:

I think I’d like to try and do something different.

Satoru Murata:

I think there are
