The most famous flapper of all time, and that title goes to Flappers singer-songwriter, Gloria Estefan. Born on July 30 1953 outside of Los Angeles, she came onto the song-writing scene during the early 1970s. She spent more than ten years in the studio making songs for the Hollywood big boys such as The Doors, Elvis Presley, Eric Clapton and The Beatles. Her albums The Hot 100 Singles of the 1970s, The Hot 100 Songs of the 1980s, Pop Goes the Weasel and The Singles In Your Own Words sold millions of records and are all considered modern-day classics. In 2002, her latest CD, the Hot 100 Singles of 2010, was nominated for several categories in the Grammy’s and went on to win five awards, including Best Album of the Year. At this point, there are plenty of others who could compete for the title of the all-time greatest flapper. In 2008, the Grammy’s awarded Gloria a special prize, The “Girl in the Room” honor, which she took home while attending an awards show in London, England.
A lot of people are talking now whether or not Samsung’s upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is the first step towards Android 6.0.6 or, alternatively, the next big OTA (over-the-air) update for its Galaxy S5 family. It’s not certain, but both possibilities are interesting.
So far, Samsung and LG have done some work on the software side, which suggests that it could be one or the other, although we don’t know the details yet. This is what we do know:
A new firmware version is expected for the Galaxy S5 family, probably this week.
The first Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will bring Google Play Services, which is a requirement of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. I’m not sure what this means for the Samsung Galaxy S5 (G930F/G935N) and which device would get Marshmallow first.
Google Play Services will be included on the Galaxy S5 and other Android 6.0 devices running the Marshmallow operating system.
The new Galaxy S5 firmware that will be released by Samsung should contain two new modules from the Google Play services suite, namely Google Now and Google Calendar (both of which are necessary for Marshmallow).
This new update should help address a few known bugs. However, it’s not clear whether or not
