An owner has a right to an “affordable” boiler at any time of the year. However, if you own more than 1,240 litres in a year, the owner has a right to purchase a suitable replacement water boiler for each of these litres. They are entitled to one free boiler replacement if they own the boiler at any time of the year.

There are two different documents for owners – the Certificate of Ownership – which can be obtained by phoning our boiler team on 13 26 26 or contacting your local Community and Local Government Centre (CLGC) about your boiler and the water boiler you own.

We recommend that owners complete the Owner Documentation form. It will also contain copies of the owner’s documentation which can be used to prove your ownership.
If you are an owner, we will be happy to advise you about how your boiler works and what you are entitled to. However, it is a good idea to contact us directly if you need help finding what your boiler is for.
This is very important so we can help you to plan to get as many free boilers as possible. There are different types of boilers and some are even free as long as you are an owner.
How long does it take for me to get free boiler replacements?
We advise that the owner be given an accurate amount of time for which they will receive free replacement boilers. This means that they do not have to wait until the week before the second replacement, but the week before this, and the first one as well. The owner will be told by the manager not to exceed this period of time on any type of boiler.
There are specific deadlines set by the CLGC that should be exceeded within these timeframes.
Where is the boiler?
You will be contacted by our boiler team to discuss which boiler you need and how you can arrange to have your boiler replaced. We can also arrange a replacement boiler for you if you do not have a new one yet.
What if I am experiencing issues using my boiler?
If there has been an issue with your boiler, we are here to help. We can arrange a new boiler for you or your boiler might need a major overhaul. This includes replacing the boilers on your boilers and replacing the water boiler on your boiler. Our
