How do you make a sock puppet mouth? – How To Sing Ventriloquist

The first thing you need to do is take a sock puppet and break it into parts. We use the sock, a piece of thread, an eye, and the sock puppet’s mouth.

We’ll use a double-balled toothpick to poke holes in the sock. Start the toothpick at the very edge and gently pry it under the lip around three of the holes: the two on either side of the eye. When you get to the middle of the eye, slowly put your middle finger into one of the holes to poke through. Use your thumb to poke through the other hole. The hole near the middle, now filled with straw, will be the one holding the straw inside the mouth.

When you’re finished, you’ll have the three mouths you see in the second photo: the one which can move and the one which can’t.
