No, but it does help to add the oils to your paint. I prefer to use a brush I bought just for painting, although there are some brushes out there that are just good for a brush…for the price they’re not that expensive. But acrylic paints are good, and I use them all the time, mostly for the fact that they are easy to apply, and that they tend to dry faster than water-based paints.
Which is better for watercolor painting? Do you use acrylic paint and watercolors together?
It depends on preference, but when I paint watercolor I generally use watercolors with acrylic paints. I believe that the only way to produce a great watercolor is to use watercolors and with acrylic paint.
What is the most important aspect of watercolor paint?
A great watercolor will look wonderful in a painting, and the same can be said with any medium paint – watercolors have the advantage of staying matte throughout the entire painting process and are very durable. If you can paint watercolors or watercolor acrylics, you can paint every kind of medium paint. The important part of watercolor painting is to use it sparingly and in the right way.
If you have a good understanding of the elements of the painting process, you can apply watercolor paint to a variety of mediums and have a painting that is well balanced and will produce great results.

“Today, the Student Government voted unanimously to remove the Robert E. Lee statue,” said student body president Sami Ousmane, according to a release. “We would like to thank the Texas A&M Student Government, the campus staff, and the many others who contributed their time and expertise toward the removal.”
The statue was put up in 2013 as part of a larger effort to commemorate the university’s history as the birthplace of the modern Ku Klux Klan.
