And if you decide to make it into an actual professional job, how does it work? What’s the biggest challenge?
Well, I do have an internship where I have to draw everything that’s mentioned in the game. I just draw the basic art. The character’s body, the backgrounds and the monsters. I do it for free.
And the next big challenge is the actual professional world. I’m writing for comic book stuff, writing for animation, doing illustration and design-related things. And the job is actually a lot bigger than just drawing monsters for you. I get paid for it, so my whole life is dedicated to making a living from a job that is really exciting and kind of scary and scary, but definitely fulfilling at the same time.
So the professional world is just, like, drawing monsters?
Yeah, yeah. I’m drawing it right now. I think one of the coolest things about the game is that you don’t even have to think too hard about what you’re doing. At the end of it, when you get the reward that you’ve been dreaming of for all your life, it’s just something that you’ve been doing for weeks because you love it. And it can be very rewarding.
I do like fantasy stuff.
Yeah, absolutely, a lot! I’ve done some stuff about Norse mythology, I’ve done a bit about Greek mythology, Japanese mythology.
One of the hardest things about the game is that there’s no way for you to know if you’re actually taking the appropriate precautions to protect yourself from some of the things that exist throughout the world. There’s the big scary ones…
Right. And then, there’s the smaller ones, too. There’s also the ones that aren’t so bad when you don’t realize that at first, but when you go “oh, that’s a monster,” it’s like, “oh, I’m really afraid of that now!” You see one of those in gameplay, and then you’re like, “oh man, that’s not a good way to be.”
So I just thought that was a really interesting approach. Like the monster-tourist-type monsters you’d get by going to these locations…
Yeah. And the little things that you’ll see in the area, such as monsters sleeping. They come up, though they may wake up if you’re really close, and they kind of just sit there and watch you and they don’t
