What skills do you need to be a painter? – Free Online Art Lessons Drawing Painting Sculpture

The skills that I am most suited for are:

Photography skills – I am well versed in using Canon 5d and 6d cameras.

Drawing skills – My skill level is quite low but some time in painting I can really improve my drawing skills.

Composition – As my profession mainly relies on digital painting I need to have good compositions and colour scheme knowledge.

A small part of the world seems to understand the true meaning of the Islamic State, and it’s not one of its more enthusiastic supporters. Instead, according to a new report from the Washington Post, the group’s fighters have been trained by an al-Qaeda offshoot called the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

“Al-Qaeda is not the same thing as ISIS,” said a Middle Eastern terrorism expert who works for a think tank in Washington. “Al-Qaeda is a terrorist organization, and ISIS is a terrorist army.” Another expert suggested that the distinction is just one of semantics. “If you look at the structure of ISIS, ISIS is a government, ISIS is a state,” he told the Post. “We really don’t know what kind of organization they are.”

This doesn’t stop some in the West from celebrating the rise as evidence of the group’s new caliphate. “ISIS in its current form has nothing in common with al-Qaeda or the Taliban, and the latter has proven it’s not an independent, radical jihadist group,” said Daniel Benjamin, the director of the Middle East Program at the Council on Foreign Relations. “The caliphate is not a new concept in ISIS—it’s actually one that ISIS has been trying to push for for some time.”

But the United States, with its long history of fighting al-Qaeda, is clearly skeptical of the group. It’s not clear if the group would fall apart if it fell under U.S. control. But, said former U.S. military officials who worked in Iraq: ”
